The fake-trailer had already impressed me with how well it recreated the way sprite based cut scenes used to be done, but I became instantly sold the moment the trailer revealed that Starr Mazer would also be a Graphic Adventure game as well.

I remember Don telling me the story of how the trailer came to be. And how it was paid for. It indeed was never a fake trailer!

it was just a lot of things that were very important to me, all at once, all in the same piece of expansive media. i wanted to see that vision realized, not entirely because Don et al. were so passionate about it, but because it was something i really wanted to see made extant in our physical universe. so naturally, i backed! and then during the lean times, i continued throwing money at it. and threw some more. and then i was broke for a while. but we get Starr Mazer and a group of very wonderful, creative, exceptional people are making their dreams come true! and i get a cool game and sweet loot!

Well... I knew of Jérémie Perrin before the Starr Mazer's (quiproquo) release of its "trailer".
So whenever I did get my eyes on this new video from him, it was obvious that I would be hooked by it, like usual.
But strangely enough, this time it wasn't "full of dark humor or gross visuals". It was neat, slick, efficient...

I wanted to play that game so bad.

Then one day I got my eyes on some articles talking about 2D arts in video games, animated sprites and so on.
I clicked on links about PAX, read a bit, clicked... You know the usual "spider-web click & read".

Then I saw this pic of Auston's socks...

Without even reading what was wrote in the tweet, I open the Kickstarter website, type "Starr Mazer" and BOOM.

Zero Day backer.

Well, I didn't stopped there, obviously. Did some diggin' here and there, listened (with earplugs) to Don AND Auston shouting,
looked at the pics and pitches, and falling in love with the art, pixelated and not, the sound and music, the gameplay concept...

The campaign was really thrilling, and it didn't changed afterward. It's still a bless to be part of this project somehow, and to be
a member of this Starrmazing family.
